With quality and sustainability at its core, CSM has worked together with Valmont to create a vertical village for data management company Quantium, structured to encourage team connection and engagement. In this edition of CSM’s newsletter, CSM Business Development Manger, Victoria Harris, chats to the Valmont design team about specification and innovation.

Quantium approached Valmont to create an innovative space that ensured staff had access to views, natural light and no matter where they sat on the floor, could stay ‘plugged in’ to the network across the tenancy. Multiple work points, breakout spaces and meeting areas planned throughout the floors were implemented to connect and engage staff on a daily basis, creating a culture of information sharing, openness and flexibility in how they work.

The product life cycle of what was specified was important to the client as well, as they have a business mission to reduce their impact as a company on the environment.

Intrec’s annual Golf Day 2014 was this year held at Killara Golf Club, on Thursday 23^rd October. After having attended the event in the past, CSM did not want to miss out on this fantastic day, and decided to show our support by sponsoring the 18^th hole.

We opted to entertain our fellow golfers and industry professionals with beer tasting, including a mixture of German Lagers, Pilseners, Blondes and an Australian Craft Beer.

It was the perfect day to relax with a cold one overlooking Killara’s picturesque course, whilst the golfers were employing their best swings for a chance to win some generous prizes.

We’d like to thank Intrec for allowing us to be a part of such a great event, and hope that everyone enjoyed the beer as much as we did!

Originally based in a large Wentworthville warehouse, Pacific Brands Underwear Group (PBUG) were relocating to Burwood. However, having been based at the same site for over 100 years, it was critical that any new space retained strong links to the PBUG history.

The design plan focused on referencing PBUG’s former warehouse base, with an exposed ceiling and polished concrete providing an industrial feel.

The office floor provides endless storage options for samples and fabrics, with peg boards, retail racking, docking stations and a seamstress storage facility all custom-made and cut to PBUG’s specifications.

The requirements for all the brands included not only large amounts of hanging space, but also storage of smaller items such as fabric swatches, buttons and an array of elastics in numerous colours and sizes.
